MARTA I LORD
Customer Reviews
The first diagnosis indicating Lord’s stomach ulcers was presented to his owner Martha in 2015. At the time, she had just purchased the then 4-year-old stallion and did not fully know his living conditions, as well as the level of stressful training at the previous stables. Finding the cause of the ulcers thus became quite a challenge. Under the wing of his new caretaker, the horse underwent an initial treatment of several weeks with ABPrazole pellets, which, administered in the wrong way and in the wrong condition, ultimately helped little. In 2021, Martha decided to change the stable where Lord had been staying until then to an intimate facility where constant access to water and hay is the norm. Unfortunately, in 2022, the horse suffered an injury that caused a vicious cycle of treatments beyond just orthopedic interventions.
The stress of pain and clinic visits exacerbated the ulcer symptoms. The owner decided to act – she started the animal on treatments with Equinor and Misoprostol, as well as changing the feed to one that is created specifically for horses suffering from digestive diseases. The therapy stabilized the situation somewhat, but the drugs put a heavy strain on the animal’s intestines, resulting in intractable diarrhea and three colic episodes, after which, fortunately, hospitalization was not necessary. The veterinarian performed all necessary diagnostic tests to rule out other potential causes of Lord’s ailments. „Since I follow a holistic approach to health in my life, my thoughts revolved around identifying the sources of the problems and clearly distinguishing between cause and effect. My biggest dream was to return my horse’s body to homeostasis and break the spiral of endless treatment.” – emphasized Marta, who at this stage had spent as much as PLN 20,000 on her stallion’s therapy.
In 2023, after seeing the results of clinical trials, Martha’s horse was given the chance to pre-test QUUS, whose most important ingredient – beta glucan isolate from oats – aroused considerable interest in its owner. Lord at that time was already finishing his rehabilitation, so there was hope that the disease would finally disappear from his life. After almost a year of treatment, the horse’s health improved dramatically. Before the treatment, he was defecating up to 12 times per ride. Currently, his bowels work „like clockwork” and the number of bowel movements per ride has dropped to 3-4. Diarrhea has disappeared, as has the problem of maintaining the horse’s desired weight, which was previously hard to achieve. „Like any owner, I know my horse inside out, so I can see that he is now simply happy, self-motivated and full of life energy.” – says Lord’s owner.
